Recovery Pastor

In my role as Recovery Pastor, I provide the leadership for our Celebrate Recovery program.  Celebrate Recovery (or "CR") is FCC's Bible-based 12 step program that exists to help people recover from the wounds of life.

I first attended Family Community Church in January of 2000 with my family.  I was searching for healing from my broken and dysfunctional past.  FCC was a safe place for me to recover from a failed marriage, an abusive childhood, and I could really learn about the healing power of Jesus Christ.

After serving as the Preschool Ministries Director at FCC for a year and seeing the amount of hurting families that were searching for healing at FCC, I felt directed to help lead FCC's Celebrate Recovery ministry.  I took my passion for people and my experience in leadership to develop a dynamic team of leaders in CR.  The ministry took off and has long since been one of the most impacting ministries at FCC.

In 2005, I joined the CR National Team at Saddleback Church, first as a California State Representative and then as the West Regional Director.  Finally, I served for one year as CR's United States National Director.  I was able to take my passion for the broken and gifting for leadership development to further the movement of CR across the nation!

In May of 2011, I returned to FCC full time where I serve as the Recovery Pastor, teach the New Life Classes, and also serve as a Life Coach.  I live in south San Jose with my husband, Mark, who is Vice-President of Operations for a biotech start-up company.  My blended family includes three children:  Mark Jr., Jonathan, and Rachael, our new granddaughter, Aubriella, and her mom, Breanna.  I enjoy theatre, music, cooking, Hawaii, and Survivor (my favorite reality TV show of all time!).

My vision is to teach people with hurts, hang-ups, and habits about a God who loves us with a never-stopping, ever-faithful, always-present type of Love.

Check out a few more programs I'm involved in and be sure to say hi to me in the lobby on Sunday mornings!

"And Mary said: My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant.  From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me, Holy is Thy Name." Luke 1: 46-49
